This fountain is very sturdy and works great. I love the fact that I can adjust the amount of water coming out. But so far I need to be there with the dog and show her how to put her foot on it to press. Then she drinks like crazy. Hopefully soon she will realize she can do this herself and I don't need to show her at least once an hour. Like the big surface area for the dog to press. Like the white hose so even though it's in the shade it had less of a chance of getting too hot in a white hose. The length is perfect to come off a faucet on the side of the house. Seems sturdy but we haven't had it very long.
As the weather is heating up, I need to keep my Border Collie cool and well hydrated in the summer months. I purchased the updated version of the Trio Gato Outdoor Easy Activated Dog Pet Water Fountain/Toy, and my BC took to it immediately as he, and other dogs, love to bite water! It is a great concept -- drinking water on demand!
Great product! My dog loves it. It keeps my dog drinking fresh water because every time my dog steps on the pad it sends fresh water from the hose. He picked it up quickly and now drinks from it all the time. My dog used to spill his bowl a lot so now when I leave for work I don't have to worry because he has all the water he wants! I think he even drinks more water because it feels like a game. It's easy to take on and off and it comes with a hose splitter so you can still use a hose for yardwork and one for the fountain. Also it's fun to watch! Your dog will love it!
A must! This is a must-have item for anyone owning a dog. Our dog just loves it. It’s kind of a toy for him and he can drink fresh water whenever he desires. For us it's great too, as we don't need to frequently replace the water in his bowl anymore. Training took a few days. Some advice regarding training: I took away the water bowl so the fountain was his only source of water. I found it helpful to train him while he's thirsty. Another point – adjust the water’s height before introducing the fountain to your dog. If it’s too high, they may get startled. I used the yellow splitter to control the water’s height.
This appears to be a newer upgraded version, with metal parts and a dial to change the water pressure for your pup. I have mine on low just for drinking as my puppy is afraid of the higher streams and doesn't really want to get wet, she just wants to drink. This provides nice cold fresh water on demand on these hot Texas afternoons. It's great!
My German Shepherd Kane Loves this. With me training him on how to do it l just kept telling him to hit it and it didn't even take a day.
This is the best thing I've bought for my boys in a very long time! One of them caught on after about 10 min. The other one loves drinking and making his bro do all the work! It comes out not too hard and not too soft. Very well made and seems to be very durable. This is going to be much needed this summer!
